José Valdiviezo is a photographer based in Cuenca, Ecuador. His work centres on sports photography — the decisive moment, the shape of real effort, the tension of a close finish. Every competition is published as its own gallery, so the people who were there can find themselves in it. Alongside that he keeps a portfolio of landscape and wildlife work, where the same attention to natural light gets to take its time.
